While most common skin cancers are curable with surgical treatment, they unfortunately tend to occur in sun exposed areas, such as the cheek, nose, eyelids, and lips. The goal of reconstructive plastic surgery is to provide wound closure with an optimal cosmetic appearance. Successfully helping patients through this difficult time requires a balance of empathy, optimism, surgical precision, and an artistic sensibility. We work with many of the region's top dermatologists and Mohs' surgery specialists in treating challenging skin cancers.

Restoring a natural breast shape after mastectomy or lumpectomy surgery can provide a renewed sense of emotional well-being and positive body image during an otherwise very difficult time. While no procedure can perfectly replace the lost breast, current plastic surgery techniques can allow patients to wear the clothes they like without the use of an external prosthesis.
Selecting among the many available reconstructive procedures to find the ideal choice for an individual patient requires evaluation of a number of factors and a balancing of priorities. During an initial consultation, the common procedures and some of the factors considered in recommending each method will be discussed.
Our office works very closely with your breast surgeon, oncologists, primary care physician, and all other involved care givers to develop a team approach to your care.
